Engineered once, deployable many times.
A modular hospital is a full-scale healthcare building assembled from prefabricated volumetric modules — complete rooms built in a factory and shipped to the project site for rapid erection on prepared foundations. structmod modular hospitals scale from 10-bed rural clinics to 500-bed regional referral hospitals, all engineered on a repeating module grid that standardises production, compresses construction time to a fraction of conventional build, and produces predictable clinical outcomes regardless of site location.
Every structmod modular hospital starts from the functional brief of the procuring health ministry or operator. Bed count, case mix, surgical capability, imaging suites, laboratory scope, outpatient volume and accommodation requirements are translated into a module schedule that locks the design before the first steel is cut. Factory production of modules runs in parallel with site foundation works, reducing total schedule by 40-60% versus conventional hospital construction. EN 1090 structural steel, EN ISO 3834-2 certified welding, and full material traceability to EN 10204 3.1 mill certificates guarantee the structural performance required for a Category III importance building per Eurocode.
structmod delivers modular hospitals to national health ministries, international development banks (World Bank, ADB, AIIB), UN agencies and private healthcare operators. Completed projects include a 120-bed regional hospital in northern Iraq (340 modules, six storeys), a 200-bed referral hospital in sub-Saharan Africa, and multiple expansion wings for existing hospitals in the Gulf. Lead time is 4-12 months from contract signature for the full design-build cycle including module production, sea freight, site assembly, FAT/SAT, commissioning, and handover with a 60-month structural warranty.
