Steel Houses — Our Expert Product Range
structmod steel houses are permanent residential structures built on lightweight cold-formed steel (LGS) frames. Steel frame construction offers superior seismic and wind resistance compared to traditional masonry, with dramatically faster build times and factory-controlled quality. structmod delivers each steel house as a complete kit — pre-cut and pre-drilled frame sections, insulated panels, cladding, windows, doors and all MEP components — ready for assembly on your prepared foundation. Steel houses from structmod are certified to earthquake zone 1 standards (peak ground acceleration Ao = 0.40g) and designed for wind speeds up to 140 km/h.
structmod manufactures all steel houses at its 54,000 m² production facility in Ankara, Turkey, and delivers worldwide. Lead time is 8–14 weeks from order confirmation. All units are factory-tested before shipment and include full technical documentation, material certifications and a 2-year structural warranty.
Expert Steel Houses Manufacturer
Factory-built quality
Every steel house is built in a controlled factory environment — not on site. This means consistent dimensional accuracy, no weather delays, and quality inspection at every stage before delivery.
Worldwide delivery
structmod has delivered steel houses to clients in more than 40 countries. Each unit is packaged for international transport and arrives ready to install with minimal on-site work.
Full documentation
Every steel house delivery includes structural drawings, material certifications, MEP schematics, factory acceptance test report, and an O&M manual — everything needed for building permit applications and ongoing maintenance.
Customisation available
Interior finishes, cladding colours, door and window positions, MEP configurations — all adaptable to your project. Contact structmod to discuss your specific requirements.
Steel Houses — Construction Standard
All structmod steel houses are manufactured to EN 1090 EXC-2 structural standards with hot-rolled or cold-formed steel frames depending on the model. Exterior cladding options include aluminium composite, fibre cement, thermally treated wood and metal panels — all tested for weather resistance and thermal performance. Interior fit-out includes laminat parket or ceramic flooring, painted wall finishes and fitted kitchen/bathroom packages.
Thermal insulation uses mineral wool (stone wool) or PIR foam panels achieving U-values of 0.25–0.40 W/m²K in walls and 0.15–0.25 W/m²K in roof — suitable for all climate zones. MEP systems are pre-installed: 220/380V electrical wiring, PEX water supply plumbing, PVC drainage and split-unit HVAC provisions. Electrical installations comply with IEC 60364 and local equivalent standards.
structmod steel houses are designed for earthquake zone 1 (Ao = 0.40g per TBDY 2019) and wind speeds up to 140 km/h. All units are factory-inspected and come with a 2-year structural warranty. Optional 5-year extended warranty packages are available.
Steel Houses — Frequently Asked Questions
How does a steel house compare to traditional brick construction?
Lightweight steel frame houses offer 5–8× faster construction, significantly better seismic performance (due to ductility and light weight), factory-guaranteed component quality, and easier MEP integration. Thermal performance with proper insulation matches or exceeds brick construction. Steel houses weigh approximately 1/5 of equivalent masonry — enabling lighter, less expensive foundations.
Are structmod steel houses suitable for earthquake-prone regions?
Yes. structmod steel houses are specifically designed for high seismic zones. The lightweight steel frame dissipates earthquake energy through controlled deformation (ductile behaviour) while maintaining structural integrity. All steel house designs are calculated per TBDY 2019 (Turkish seismic code) and EN 1998-1 (Eurocode 8).
What exterior cladding options are available for steel houses?
Standard options include fibre cement board (Lif Çimento/ETICs), metal composite panels, wood cladding, brick veneer and render finishes. Roofing options include metal standing-seam, clay tile and flat roof configurations. Contact structmod to select the cladding package that suits your climate and aesthetic preference.
