OVERVIEW

Engineered once, deployable many times.

A modular mammography clinic is a permanent breast screening facility built from prefabricated modules with the imaging rooms, lead shielding, image reading workstations, patient changing cubicles, counselling rooms and reception flow already integrated. structmod modular mammography clinics serve national breast cancer screening programmes building or expanding fixed screening capacity, hospital breast units replacing legacy mammography infrastructure, regional cancer centres establishing dedicated breast imaging capability, and private healthcare operators building breast screening services. The 10-14 week turnkey delivery accelerates screening programme rollout.

Standard configurations include 1-2 mammography rooms (lead-shielded per NCRP Report 147 with workload-adjusted shielding calculation), patient changing cubicles with secure storage, examination room for clinical breast examination, image reading room with PACS workstations and reporting infrastructure, counselling room for results communication and onward referral, reception and waiting area, and supporting clinical and administrative spaces. Tomosynthesis capability (digital breast tomosynthesis, DBT) is supported with the same shielding package; ultrasound rooms for diagnostic follow-up and stereotactic biopsy capability are added as configuration options for larger breast units.

structmod modular mammography clinics support national screening programmes (UK NHS Breast Screening Programme, Turkey Kanser Tarama Programı, similar programmes across Europe and the Gulf), regional cancer programmes building screening infrastructure, university hospital breast units, and private breast care providers. Lead time is 10-14 weeks from contract signature for stock configurations, 12-16 weeks for larger configurations including diagnostic and biopsy capability. Compliance includes IEC 60601-2-45 mammography equipment safety, NCRP Report 147 shielding, and EU Medical Exposures Directive.

Typical deployment sequence

  1. Day 1 — site foundation verified, screw jacks or strip footings in place
  2. Day 2–3 — modules lifted into position by mobile crane
  3. Day 3–4 — inter-module connections and envelope sealing
  4. Day 4–5 — MEP connections, wet testing
  5. Day 5–6 — interior finish, fixtures and equipment install
  6. Day 7 — commissioning, FAT report, user training and handover
